It's a smart move on the part of DC and Warner, who have struggled to mimic the success of Marvel's singular shared universe: the MCU. It also means that having both Affleck and Keaton play Batman can be easily explained as a result of Barry Allen travelling between alternate realities. But with every DC movie ever made now being part of the multiverse, as well as the potential for previously unseen realities cropping up in The Flash,The Flash.

With that said, Muschietti was very clear that the multiverse includes "everything," meaning that just because Warner likely won't cross The BatmanThe FlashThe Flash hinting at a possible future cross-over with Pattinson's Batman – if only so that Warner can reassure audiences they haven't forgotten about Pattinson. If the studio is keen to play up that point as much as possible, fans may even see a brief cameo.
