One of the chief differences between the original Justice League and the forthcoming Snyder Cut is the orientation towards an adult demographic, this according to Zack Snyder himself. Snyder is not shying away from his chief demographic this time, though. In response to a social media comment by ForbesJustice Leaguemade for grownups
You said you enjoyed the theatrical cut of Justice League like you enjoy your Saturday morning cartoons… Well this is made for grownups, so you’re not in the demographic. Also, cool of you to comment on a leaked teaser. @ScottMendelson https://t.co/Zsu2O2oixb

Having a superhero movie directed towards grown-ups is a dangerous proposition, since kids and teens help drive box office success for superhero films. Since the Snyder Cut is already being released exclusively on a streaming service, however, that factor is likely less important to Snyder. What's important to him is getting his original vision out to the public, regardless of the form it takes. Squabbling with a critic on social media is not always the best tactic for driving publicity, but Snyder's comments should only add to the excitement ahead of the arrival of the JusticeLeague Snyder Cut on HBO Max.
